I installed the ZAGG 3ds invisible shield on both screens of my 3ds. While I believe ZAGG's products are excellent, I am skeptical that any film can be adhered to the top screen of the 3ds without interfering with the 3d effect as the viewing angle is just too narrow and slight variations in film blur the effect. Though it installed perfectly I had to remove it after a few days. Just a heads up to fellow 3ds fans.

I am a strong believer of Zagg's Invisishield products. I applied one to my Droid phone more than a year ago and it still looks new and has absolutely no air bubbles. From that great experience, I also purchased this kit for my 3DS.However, I really had a hard time applying it. Unlike the droid that has a completely flat surface that falls off on the sides (making it easy to wipe dust straight off and squeegie the application solution), the 3DS screens are surrounded by dust trapping edges. I applied and applied again, but never could get it on right without dust despite being extremely careful. Having botched my first kit, I ordered a second thinking this time I'd get it right. Again, dust trapped underneath. I finally gave up on applying.If you're going to purchase this product, I'd recommend having a Zagg employee apply it for you at one of their mall kiosks, which seem to be popping up everywhere these days. This product's application process is far from idiot proof, and with the 3DS' design its even tougher. Sadly I threw my money away with this but hopefully others will have better luck.

This protective shield only protects the top part of the DS. That is the part that never get touched. I found the item useless!
