Original Review: I got this for my son's new 3DS because there was no other option, really. It seems like someone really rushed this to market, the quality is very poor. The main complaint I have is that the two pieces do not stay attached to the Nintendo. The rubber is too stretchy and it does not form to the 3DS well enough to stay snug. It is constantly falling off when he is playing games. We need one like Nerf has for the regular DS. It would be nice to have one you can use with the charging base without having to take it off as well.Edited Review: Well the company (DreamGear) did exactly what they said they would do. I am changing my review from 2 to 5 stars. I cannot believe that there is a company out there that cares this much about satisfaction. They noticed the bad reviews on Amazon, contacted those who had a bad experience, and fixed it! What? Who does that anymore? Especially for an inexpensive item like this...The company shipped me a better, next gen model for free. This version is indeed better and fits like a glove. No more issues with it falling off. What unreal customer service. I was blown away....

The picture looks much better. Doesn't fit very well, very loose,very thin, and don't think it will last long. Very poor protection and fit! Don't waste your money.

Having purchased screen protectors for the 3DS displays (which seem to scratch horribly when using the stylus), an aluminum case (which fit perfectly and looked great), and an executive leather looking carrying case (which also worked out well), the 3DS Comfort grip so far actually seems to be the best peripheral I have purchased for my new 3DS. So much so that I am going to sell the aluminum protective case I bought and my nice leeather looking carrying case, and would replace this comfort grip if it ever became lost.I purchased the Comfort Grip online from Walmart and think it fits the 3DS very well overall. The only weak points I have seen thus far, are a strip that runs along the back side of it that I wish was just a tad tighter, where the grip wraps around to the front of the display (by the 3D slider) I wish stayed put a little better (as I have to keep nudging it down and snug).Overall though, the benefits of this grip have far outweighed the negatives, to the point that I really can't picture ever playing my 3DS without one of these. The grip gives just the right amount of thickness to the 3DS when installed and allows you to rest much of the weight of the system on your fingers with the "hook-type" feet on the back side of the case, while your index fingers rest along the L1 and R1 buttons. The material is soft and gives just a little when pushed on. Not only is this very comfortable to hold, doesn't show any fingerprints, and doesn't seem to get dirty very easily, but also cushions the system in case you happen to accidentally drop it. I'm not interested in trying this out, but would think the cushioning would provide enough protection in most cases to keep something from breaking if dropped.The only down side (besides the slight fitting issues noted above) that I have found is that I wish there was a carrying case made for this grip. An attractive carrying case would be a great accessory to pair with this...especially one that could carry some games as well. I really liked my executive carrying case as it could hold a few extra games along with the system and was very nice looking. Currently I'm just carrying my 3DS in a plastic store bag each day until I find something else that works well. It keeps the rain out and provides a moderate level of dust protection for now.
